About Me

Growing up in Appleton, Wisconsin, Scouting played a foundational role in my upbringing. My parents, Steve and Barbara, were instrumental in both challenging and supporting my brother Gavin and me in everything we pursued. I’m proud to say that we are both pilots and Eagle Scouts, each having earned all three palms.

I met my wife, Jennifer—originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa—while visiting a close Eagle Scout friend in Milwaukee. We crossed paths at the Summerfest Music Festival, and our lives were forever changed. We've now been married for ten years and are the proud parents of three sons.

Jen and I share a love for travel and adventure. On our Hawaiian honeymoon, we spent our days hiking, with occasional beach breaks for snorkeling and relaxation. Since then, we’ve continued to seek out new trails and experiences. In 2019, we explored Banff and Jasper National Parks in Alberta, Canada, hiking mountains and glaciers. In 2021, we toured Iceland in a camper van, taking in the breathtaking countryside. As a family, we love spending time outdoors—biking, hiking, and skiing together.

Throughout my professional career, I’ve been actively involved in service clubs and nonprofit boards. I’ve chaired the youth scholarship committee as a member of the Kiwanis Club and served on the City of Findlay Parks and Recreation Board. While working for the Northeast Iowa Council, I also served as President of the Dubuque Noon Optimist Club. Currently, I volunteer as the Committee Chair for my sons’ Cub Scout Pack 3135.
